I don’t think height is an accurate number. He is at an age where he cannot stand up straight and stay still correctly, so his height changes every time he is measured, even during the course of a day. Still, I can see that he is growing steadily.
He will eventually catch up to and pass my height. He will be a little over 90 centimeters taller than me. If he grows twice as tall as he is now, he will surpass me, his father.
I have given up on the idea that even if I grow up to that point, I will probably not be very grateful to my father. I respect and appreciate my father rationally, but emotionally I don’t feel that way about him. Maybe boys treat their fathers that way.
I hope it doesn’t turn out that Takeh becomes Oedipus and kills me, his father.
