I had long overheard that there was a restaurant called Vejiro.
As the name suggests, it is inspired by Ramen Jiro, but the interesting thing is that it is not a ramen restaurant but a “meat and vegetable stir-fry restaurant.
Well, one of the characteristics of Ramen Jiro is the presence of a large amount of yasai topped on top of the ramen. It is interesting that they focus only on this part of the ramen and serve stir-fried meat and vegetables.
Ramen Jiro’s yashi topping is simply boiled bean sprouts and cabbage. It is not flavored. It is eaten while dipping into the ramen soup. So even though it is Jiro-inspired, simply serving “boiled bean sprouts and cabbage” is not tasty.
The question is how to season it. This is a very interesting point.

Since all orders are completed using an automatic ticket vending machine, there is no “topping call” (the clerk asks the type and amount of toppings to be added before the ramen is served), which can be nerve-wracking for beginners to Ramen Jiro. In this respect, even beginners can feel at ease.
I like stir-fried meat and vegetables so much that there was a time when I thought, “If I were asked what I would like to eat for the last meal of my life, I would answer, ‘A set meal of stir-fried meat and vegetables. It does not taste like Ramen Jiro. If you are looking for something more on the Ramen Jiro side, there is a Ramen Jiro Ikebukuro nearby. If you are ambivalent about eating stir-fried vegetables with junk to your heart’s content, by all means, go ahead and try it. You will be satisfied.
